Tarnish is normal on sterling and wipes off in seconds with a polishing cloth; it is not a defect and it never means the silver is 'fake'.

Edges are broken and rounded so nothing catches on hair or knitwear.

We test every post for burrs under magnification; a rough post is the difference between 'forgot I was wearing them' and 'took them off by noon'.

The color on this piece is true enamel — glass powder fused to the silver at high heat — not paint. It will not fade or peel like plating; its only real enemy is a sharp knock, so treat it like a small glass object.
