The pearl on this piece was chosen for luster first: every bead is checked under a daylight lamp and anything milky or chalky is rejected. Pearls are organic — they enjoy being worn (natural skin oils keep them bright) and dislike perfume spray, so put them on last when getting ready.

We test every post for burrs under magnification; a rough post is the difference between 'forgot I was wearing them' and 'took them off by noon'.

Edges are broken and rounded so nothing catches on hair or knitwear.

Tarnish is normal on sterling and wipes off in seconds with a polishing cloth; it is not a defect and it never means the silver is 'fake'.
