The lapis lazuli here is selected for depth of blue: we prefer stones with a saturated, almost-navy body and only sparse golden pyrite flecks. Lapis is porous, so keep it away from soaking, perfume and household cleaners, and wipe it dry after wear.

The chain is finished with a secure lobster-style clasp and a 5 cm extender, so one necklace covers three lengths. It lies flat against the skin and resists twisting in wear.

The silhouette is kept minimal on purpose — it should date slowly, not quickly.

Store pieces separately so metal cannot scratch stone and stone cannot scratch metal; a lined box or individual pouches both work.
